We were on the fence with this one, but then we saw the raptor-riding cowboy in the next picture, and that totally decided us.

Winner 5: Shane Greb

Winner 6: Joanna T.
At long last, the fierce, sinewy world of Frank Frazetta meets the world of balloon animals.

Winner 7: Glen Lowry
“After checking out your contest and its current winners, we were inspired to throw down on the spot at our 4th of July after party. We are submitting our best pic from our third round of shooting, trying to nail that composition.”

Winner 8: Rainbreaw
We can’t stop laughing at these: “Okay, mood lighting: check, grass skirt: check, swords: check, minigolf: check. Let me just pull my pants down to my ankles and WE’LL DO THIS!”

“Getting ready to take the photo, making sure I have the framing right before we drop the clothing:”

Setting up the framing for “Cornered”:

Winner 9: Mari Provencher
“(i will have you know we skinned a stuffed tiger for that last shot)”

Winner 10: Steven Masuch
““We staked out these dinosaurs for almost an hour before getting our final picture. I didn’t want to strip down to my loincloth (strategically worn under my shorts) when there was a dozen little kids around. Eventually, it cleared out enough that we found a spot with no traffic. We frantically disrobed and dispanted, took the picture (still in sight of people on the levels above), and rushed to put our clothes back on. Fifteen seconds later, as we were leaving the area, a mall cop walked by talking on his walkie-talkie. He took a long look at us, then continued to where we just were. Luckily, nobody caught up to us as we left.”

Inspired by Steven Masuch’s “Loincloth in the Mall” series of photos, Chris (the one of us who actually runs the laser table), made this animation, capturing the POWER and DANGER of recreating Frazetta:
A HUGE THANK-YOU TO ALL OUR ENTRANTS!
We had a great time getting these entries we were stunned by the creativity and ingenuity of all of them (my personal favorite is the snarling demon with a head made entirely out of balloons!
Chris made the winner’s MEATCARDS on the laser table last night (watch a streaming iPhone video of Shane Greb’s cards being made); those cards are on their way to the winners. Stay tuned to @meatcards to find out when you can buy your OWN business cards made of meat and lasers!
