Get your own business cards made of MEAT AND LASERS
We have exactly fifteen alpha-tester slots. If you would like to be a MEATCARDS alpha tester, we are issuing a MEATCARD CHALLENGE to you: recreate any one of the three Frank Frazetta paintings below. The first fifteen non-halfass photos received each win the submitter an alpha test slot.
UPDATE: ALL fifteen alpha-tester slots are now spoken for. Chris made the winner’s MEATCARDS on the laser table (here’s a streaming iPhone video); those cards are on their way to the winners.
You win a Meatcards alpha-tester slot. Fifteen winners will get a 4″×11″ slab of beef jerky exactly as pictured above, with four identical business cards LASER SEARED directly onto the slab. We will print the business cards with your information, which you will provide if you win. The layout will be exactly as pictured above (American Psycho layout.) The price? FREE. Including the other 14 winners, you will be one of about twenty people in the WHOLE WORLD with your own business cards made of meat and lasers.

““We staked out these dinosaurs for almost an hour before getting our final picture. I didn’t want to strip down to my loincloth (strategically worn under my shorts) when there was a dozen little kids around. Eventually, it cleared out enough that we found a spot with no traffic. We frantically disrobed and dispanted, took the picture (still in sight of people on the levels above), and rushed to put our clothes back on. Fifteen seconds later, as we were leaving the area, a mall cop walked by talking on his walkie-talkie. He took a long look at us, then continued to where we just were. Luckily, nobody caught up to us as we left.”

Inspired by Steven Masuch’s “Loincloth in the Mall” series of photos, Chris (the one of us who actually runs the laser table), made this animation, capturing the POWER and DANGER of recreating Frazetta:

We had a great time getting these entries — we were stunned by the creativity and ingenuity of all of them (my personal favorite is the snarling demon with a head made entirely out of balloons!
